Im Zusammenspiel mit Restrictions

Profilfelder sind die Basis für zielgerichtete Sichtbarkeit. Ein konkretes Beispiel:

Eine Regel „Betriebszugehörigkeit greater_than 5“ zeigt einen Inhalt nur langjährigen Mitarbeitenden.

Tipps

  • Nutzbar mit greater_than/less_than in Restrictions.
  • Einheit im Label angeben (z. B. „… in Jahren“).

Häufige Fehler

  • Eine Zahl als Text speichern — Vergleiche funktionieren dann nicht.
  • Einheit fehlt im Label (Jahre? Monate?).
  • Nachkommastellen erwartet, aber das Feld erlaubt nur ganze Zahlen.

How to create it

Step by step
  1. Open⚙ → User → Profile fields.
  2. Newcreate a field; choose type Number.
  3. Namelabel (multilingual) and required/optional if needed.
  4. SaveThe field appears in the profile and at registration.

Working with restrictions

Profile fields are the basis for targeted visibility. A concrete example:

A rule “tenure greater_than 5” shows a piece of content only to long-serving employees.

Tips

  • Usable with greater_than/less_than in restrictions.
  • State the unit in the label (e.g. “… in years”).

Common mistakes

  • Storing a number as text — comparisons then don't work.
  • The unit is missing from the label (years? months?).
  • Decimals expected, but the field allows only whole numbers.
