Zertifikate

Ein Zertifikat ist der formale Nachweis über abgeschlossene Inhalte — dort, wo ein echter Beleg zählt (Compliance, Qualifikation). Zertifikate entstehen aus Vorlagen und sind herunterladbar sowie per E-Mail versendbar.

Warum & was

Anders als ein Badge ist ein Zertifikat ein Dokument mit Nachweischarakter. Es basiert auf einer Vorlage (Certificate Template), damit alle Zertifikate einer Art einheitlich aussehen, und trägt individuelle Daten (Name der Person, Datum).

  1. Vorlage anlegen⚙ → Reward System → Certificates → Bereich Vorlagen: Layout & Platzhalter definieren.
  2. Zertifikat erstellenNeues Zertifikat, das auf die Vorlage verweist; Name/Bedingung setzen.
  3. Links prüfenVerweise/Verifikations-Links kontrollieren (intern: updateCertificateLinks).
  4. Vergabe festlegenAn ein Lernziel/eine Kampagne knüpfen oder manuell.
  5. VorschauÜber previewUrl das Ergebnis kontrollieren.

Ausstellen, versenden & entziehen (Eingriff)

  • Verleihen: API grantCertificate / assignCertificates.
  • Per E-Mail (nach)senden: sendCertificateAsEmail — praktisch, wenn jemand sein Zertifikat erneut braucht.
  • Herunterladen: Nutzer erhalten es über die downloadUrl.
  • Korrigieren/entziehen: bei Fehlausstellung zurücknehmen.

Überwachen

Die Empfängerliste zeigt, wer ein Zertifikat hat (API: certificateHolders). Wichtig für Compliance-Nachweise.

Worauf achten

  • Nur wo es zählt: Zertifikate für echten Nachweisbedarf, sonst reicht ein Badge.
  • Vorlage sauber gestalten: Rechtschreibung, Logo, korrekte Platzhalter.
  • Gültigkeit klären: ggf. Ablauf/Erneuerung kommunizieren.

Troubleshooting

Der Nutzer findet sein Zertifikat nicht.

Über sendCertificateAsEmail erneut senden oder auf die downloadUrl im Profil verweisen.

Das Zertifikat sieht falsch aus.

Meist die Vorlage — dort Layout/Platzhalter korrigieren; neue Ausstellungen übernehmen die Änderung.

Certificates

A certificate is the formal proof of completed content — where a genuine record counts (compliance, qualification). Certificates are created from templates and are downloadable as well as sendable by email.

Why & what

Unlike a badge, a certificate is a document with the character of proof. It is based on a template (certificate template) so that all certificates of one kind look uniform, and it carries individual data (the person's name, date).

How to create a certificate

Step by step
  1. Create a template⚙ → Reward System → Certificates → Templates area: define layout & placeholders.
  2. Create a certificateNew certificate that references the template; set name/condition.
  3. Check linksReview references/verification links (internal: updateCertificateLinks).
  4. Set grantingTie it to a learning objective/a campaign or grant manually.
  5. PreviewCheck the result via previewUrl.

Issuing, sending & revoking (intervention)

  • Grant: API grantCertificate / assignCertificates.
  • (Re)send by email: sendCertificateAsEmail — handy when someone needs their certificate again.
  • Download: users receive it via the downloadUrl.
  • Correct/revoke: withdraw it in case of a wrong issue.

Monitoring

The recipient list shows who has a certificate (API: certificateHolders). Important for compliance proof.

What to watch

  • Only where it counts: certificates for genuine proof needs, otherwise a badge is enough.
  • Design the template cleanly: spelling, logo, correct placeholders.
  • Clarify validity: communicate expiry/renewal if applicable.

Troubleshooting

The user cannot find their certificate.

Resend it via sendCertificateAsEmail or point them to the downloadUrl in the profile.

The certificate looks wrong.

Usually the template — correct the layout/placeholders there; new issues will pick up the change.
