Kapitel 4 · Für Super-Admins

Restriction-Presets

Restrictions steuern, wer was sieht. Presets machen daraus wiederverwendbare Regeln: einmal definieren, überall zuweisen — konsistent statt jedes Mal von Hand.

Warum & was

So geht's konkret

So geht's konkret: ein Preset anlegen & nutzen
  1. ÖffnenSystemPresets overview.
  2. NeuPreset anlegen; Regel definieren (z. B. „nur Group Vertrieb").
  3. BenennenSprechenden Namen vergeben — Editoren wählen danach aus.

Jede Bedingung nutzt einen Operator (equals, contains_any, greater_than, and/or/not …).

Restriction presets

Restrictions control who sees what. Presets turn them into reusable rules: define once, assign everywhere — consistent instead of by hand each time.

Why & what

Restrictions determine the visibility of products, teasers and menus — per role/group. Whoever rebuilds such rules again and again makes mistakes and becomes inconsistent. A preset is a named, ready-made rule that editors simply assign to a piece of content.

Step by step

Step by step: create & use a preset
  1. OpenSystemPresets overview.
  2. NewCreate a preset; define the rule (e.g. “only group Sales”).
  3. NameGive a meaningful name — editors select by it.
  4. AssignOn the product select the preset (instead of rebuilding the rule).

The operators in detail

Each condition uses an operator (equals, contains_any, greater_than, and/or/not …). All 16 operators with examples are explained on a dedicated page: Restriction operators.

What to watch

  • Few, clear presets — otherwise the selection becomes confusing.
  • Meaningful names — editors must pick the right one without thinking.
  • Maintain centrally: if you change a preset, it takes effect everywhere it is assigned — powerful, but handle with care.
🧭

Context: presets are the maintainable form of restrictions. The interplay of rights, groups and restrictions is explained in Groups & rights.

Troubleshooting

Content is visible/invisible to the wrong people.

Check the assigned preset; adjust it if needed or pick a more suitable one. Verify with a test account.

A preset change had unexpected consequences.

Presets take effect everywhere they are assigned — check which content is affected before you change them.
