Wer Products beherrscht, beherrscht CAMPUS.

Drei Wege, ein Product zu erstellen

a · Manuell
Selbst gestalten

Aktuell: Coursera.

a) Manuell

So geht's konkret: Product manuell anlegen
  1. ÖffnenZahnrad oben rechts → Abschnitt Content → Kachel Products.
  2. NeuButton Neu anklicken.
  4. Titel & Leadin der DEFAULT-Sprache eingeben und speichern.
  5. Inhalt gestaltenProduct öffnen, Turn on edit mode, Blöcke hinzufügen (Text, Bild, Video …).
  6. AbschließenKategorien/Tags, Zugriff und Freigabe setzen (siehe „Der gemeinsame Feinschliff").

b) KI: Product-Generator

  4. FreigebenIn den Freigabe-Workflow geben und veröffentlichen.

Sprache: DEFAULT, QUALITY & automatisch

Sprache ist in CAMPUS ein eigenes Konzept. Ihr Mandant konfiguriert die Sprachen so:

SpracheRolle

Worauf Sie achten sollten

  • Erst Ziel, dann Typ: Was soll die Person danach können? Das entscheidet über den Typ.
  • Titel = Nutzenversprechen, Lead beantwortet „Warum lesen?".

Chapter 2 · For editors

Create a product

Creating a product is the most common editor task. There are three ways — by hand, with AI or via import. Afterwards the same finishing touches always follow: classifying, language, access and approval.

Why & what: the product as base unit

Almost every piece of content in CAMPUS is a product — article, event, video, e-learning or journey step. A product bundles content, metadata (type, categories, tags), access rules, language and a publication status. Whoever masters products masters CAMPUS.

Three ways to create a product

a · Manual
Design it yourself

You choose the type and enter everything yourself — full control over content and structure.

b · AI
Product generator

The AI produces content and structure from your input. Knowledge comes from iDocs or the Global Storage.

c · Import
From external

Import or link external content — with a cover page as a product. Currently: Coursera.

a) Manual

Via Settings → Content → Products → “New” (or directly from edit mode). You choose the type, enter a title and lead and build the page from blocks.

Step by step: create a product manually
  1. OpenGear icon top right → section Content → tile Products.
  2. NewClick the New button.
  3. Choose the typee.g. “Article” or “Event” — the choice determines the available fields.
  4. Title & leadenter in the DEFAULT language and save.
  5. Design the contentOpen the product, Turn on edit mode, add blocks (text, image, video …).
  6. FinishSet categories/tags, access and approval (see “The shared finishing touches”).

b) AI: product generator

The AI creates the draft and the structure from your input — described freely or via a template. Knowledge sources are iDocs from INTERVIEWER or files from the Global Storage. You provide the editorial finishing touches (AI-generated products are marked accordingly).

🤖

When to choose AI? When you need a structured draft quickly from existing knowledge (recordings, documents, files). Always review the result editorially — the AI delivers the shell, you are responsible for the content.

c) Import

Content from an external source is imported or linked; CAMPUS creates a product with a cover page. Currently supported: Coursera (Settings → Content → Import Products).

In detail

The shared finishing touches

  1. ClassifyAssign categories and tags — this controls where the content appears and how it is found.
  2. Maintain languageFill at least the DEFAULT language (see below).
  3. Set accessUse restrictions / a restriction preset to determine who sees the content.
  4. ApproveSend it into the approval workflow and publish.

Language: DEFAULT, QUALITY & automatic

Language is a concept of its own in CAMPUS. Your tenant configures the languages like this:

LanguageRole
DEFAULTMandatory — the binding base language of every product.
QUALITYOptional — a second, editorially maintained language; it gives a further, reviewed perspective.
further languagesAre generated automatically by the system when needed.
🌐

Concept note: what appears today as “German/English” are the configurable slots DEFAULT and QUALITY. The full expansion (freely configurable languages, automatic translation) is being rolled out step by step.

What to watch

  • Goal first, then type: what should the person be able to do afterwards? That decides the type.
  • Title = a promise of value, the lead answers “Why read this?”.
  • Always complete the DEFAULT language — it is the basis for everything else.
  • Set access deliberately: an accidental “public” can expose internal information.
  • Check with a test account before approval — visibility depends on restrictions.

Troubleshooting

I can’t find the “Products” tile.

Then you lack the content right. An admin enables it via the Admin Settings.

My new product doesn’t appear anywhere.

It is probably not yet published, has no category, or a restriction hides it.

The AI generator doesn’t match the content.

Sharpen the input/the template and provide better knowledge sources (more precise iDocs / files). The AI delivers the shell — you do the finishing touches.
