Kapitel 2 · Für Editoren

How to: perfekte Inhalte

Alles andere weglassen.
  • Titel = Versprechen: konkret und nutzenorientiert. „In 5 Schritten ein Feedbackgespräch führen" schlägt „Feedback".
  • Lead beantwortet „Warum lesen?" in 1–2 Sätzen.

  • Konsistente Kategorien & Tags setzen.

  • Aktualität: veraltete Inhalte archivieren statt liegen lassen.
  • Konsistenz: gleiche Dokumenttypen über iDoc-Vorlagen gleich aufbauen.
  • Barrierefreiheit: Alt-Texte, gute Kontraste, sprechende Links.

Chapter 2 · For editors

How to: perfect content

The masterstroke: content that is found, read and understood. These principles turn a product into a strong learning experience — regardless of the topic.

1 · Think with the user

  • One clear goal per product: what should the person know or be able to do afterwards? Leave out everything else.
  • Title = promise: concrete and benefit-oriented. "Run a feedback conversation in 5 steps" beats "Feedback".
  • The lead answers "why read?" in 1–2 sentences.

2 · Structure that holds

  • From the important to the detail (inverted pyramid): key message first.
  • Subheadings & short paragraphs — people scan before they read.
  • Lists and tables for enumerable items; body text for context.
  • One thought per paragraph.

3 · Choose the format sensibly

Not everything is an article. A process comes alive as a journey, a knowledge check as a quiz, a demo as a video, a live Q&A as a Live Stage. Choose the format that serves the learning goal.

4 · Write for findability

  • Use terms that users search for — not just internal jargon.
  • Set consistent categories & tags.
  • The AI search and Bryan find well-structured, clearly named content far better.

5 · Quality over quantity

  • Currency: archive outdated content instead of leaving it lying around.
  • Consistency: build the same document types the same way via iDoc templates.
  • Accessibility: alt texts, good contrast, meaningful links.

6 · Use AI as a co-author

Have drafts, summaries and translations prepared by the AI (INTERVIEWER) — and give them the editorial polish. Start faster, finish with human judgement.
